The more you use your phone on a daily bases, the more space it consume despite the facts that Android now a days comes with a decent memory space. The most annoying thing I bet any android user can ever experience either when you want to update your app or download a file and you get ‘insufficient memory’ or ‘Android internal memory is full’. It can be so frustrating.
But there is always a way out. The guides below will put you through on how to get more space on your Android device.

1.Clear Old Downloads:
Every time you download a PDF or other document from the web it is stored in your Downloads folder, but the chances are you probably don't need it anymore. If you have a File Manager app use this to browse your Downloads folder and delete anything you don't need.
2. Clear Cache + Data: Cached files are little bits of data stored by apps every time you use them. You can do this manually for individual apps by going to Settings > Storage > Apps.

3. Move apps and files to SDcard: If your phone supports sdcard, move all your apps and files to SD card; any or use apps2sd to move difficult apps to SDcard.

And for those using Android 6.0 Marshmallow, you can combine your SDcard memory + phone storage. See steps below;

Step 1: Make sure the microSD card is inside your Android Marshmallow running smartphone and is in working condition.

Step 2: Navigate to your smartphone’s ‘Settings’ and go to ‘Storage and USB’ inside the settings menu.
Step 3: Locate your external microSD card under the ‘Portable storage’ section and tap on it.
Step 4: Post jumping in the external microSD, locate the three-dot menu at the top-right and hit on ‘Settings’
Step 5: Now here you will get four options - Eject, Format, Format as Internal and Movie Media. Choose ‘Format as internal’.
Step 6: You will not be greeted by a screen saying that your microSD card will be erased completely and will only work on that particular device. Tap on ‘Erase and Format’.
Step 7: After finishing the process, your external SD card will now work as your internal storage.

4. Use lite apps: Android developers nowadays make two variants of their apps, one standard, and the other lighter, which not only consumes less cellular data, but takes up less space on your phone, too.
Some of those apps that consume space like Facebook, messenger, Youtube and opera have lite apps, consider switching to them.

5. Back up photos and video to Google Photos, then delete them from your phone:
Photos and video are one of the biggest space hogs on any Android phone, and more so as their integrated cameras come with increasingly high megapixel counts.

Download the free Google Photos app from Google Play, then in the Settings menu select to back up all photos and video over Wi-Fi. Once the media has transferred you can delete them from your phone.

Well, this is just few of those ways you can free up space on your smart device, what is your preferred method of freeing up space?

Huawei fully dived into Laptop production with the launch of three devices namely, Matebook X, Matebook D and Matebook E, all seems as the perfect to the MacBook world.
Last year, MateBook was Huawei’s first shot at building a Windows 10 laptop, but it largely missed the mark on several aspects. But Huawei is back with a trio of new laptops that look to build out the company’s computer offerings while addressing the issues from its first attempt
Among the three laptops is the MateBook X, a 13-inch Windows 10 ultraportable that fixes a lot of the problems users had with the original MateBook. It features a traditional aluminum clamshell design instead of a 2-in-1 configuration, has Intel Core i5 and i7 processors instead of the less powerful Core m series, and can allegedly last up to 10 hours while watching 1080p video on a single charge.

HUAWEI MATEBOOK X SPECS & CONFIGURATION

It sports a 13-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio at 2K resolution with a 4.4mm bezel (but it's not a touchscreen), storage comes in either 256GB or 512GB SSD options, while the power button doubles as a Windows Hello-compatible fingerprint reader. The only qualm I have is RAM, which will come in 4GB or 8GB options, but given the portable-focused nature of the MateBook X, 8GB should be enough for the average user.

Also, the aluminum chassis comes in gold, grey and pink. Additionally, the laptop comes with Dolby’s Atmos sound system, which features integrated software and hardware solutions for superior sound quality. The speakers, which are located just above the keyboard, were designed in collaboration with Dolby, along with the preloaded software that optimizes the sound. Reportedly, this results in dynamic sound that feels just like real life. Note that this is the first laptop to come with Dolby’s Atmos sound system. We have the rest of its specifications below

2,160×1,440-pixel resolution screen (non-touch)
-️ Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU
-️ 8GB RAM
-️ 256GB/512GB SSD
-️ Full-size Chiclet backlit keyboard
-️ Two USB-C ports
-️ Includes multiport adapter
-️ Estimated 10-hour battery life.

The Matebook X is priced between EUR 1,399 and 1,699 ($1,570-$1,900 or roughly Rs. 1,01,400-Rs. 1,23,200). In Nigeria, it will be expected to cost about N480,000

HUAWEI MATEBOOK D SPECS

In terms of display, the Matebook D is larger version of the Matebook X. However, it comes with a Nvidia GeForce 930MX GPU for better gaming graphics. Below are the specs and price for the Matebook D:

- 15.6-inch 1,920×1,080-pixel resolution (non-touch)
-️ 7th gen Intel i5 or i7 CPU
- Estimated 8.5 hour battery life
-️ Dolby Atmos sound system
- Up to 1TB HDD
-️ Full USB, USB-C and HDMI ports

Talking about the price, the MateBook D starts at €799 (around $900, £690, AU$1200) for the model with a Core i5 CPU, 8GB RAM, 1TB hard drive and Nvidia 940MX graphics. is priced at EUR 799 to 999 (roughly Rs. 58,000-Rs. 72,400) N275,000 Naira

MATEBOOK E TABLET SPECS

You can call it an upgrade to last year’s model - the version had an iPad pro-like chassis, but did not include the keyboard case. However this new Matebook E tablet corrects that mistake, and it comes with a higher 2K-resolution screen. It also offers an optional upgrade to an Intel i5 processor. The tabs colo options are gray and gold. Also, the tablet charges and transfers data through its USB-C port, and its volume rocker doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
Checkout the full specifications of the Matebook E and price listing in India 🇮🇳 Nigeria 🇳🇬 UK 🇬🇧 USA 🇺🇸

- 2,160×1,440-pixel resolution touchscreen
-️ Intel M3 or i5 CPU
- 4GB/8GB RAM (8GB only in US)
-️ 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage
-️ USB-C port
- Estimated 9-hour battery life

The price for the Matebook E is as follows EUR 999 to 1,299 (roughly Rs. 72,400-Rs. 94,200) Expected price in Nigeria is roughly N290,000
Although these prices are subject change with time.

In conclusion, Huawei, which is popularly known as smartphone producing company has now taken a big step towards being one among top laptop producers in the world with these three inventions. The Matebook X is a good alternative for anyone interested in the 12-inch MacBook Pro, but with Windows 10. Also, the Matebook E would work just fine for someone who wants an iPad Pro with Windows. Hard-core Gamers are not also left as the Matebook D will be their boss

The Mi Max 2 delivers two-day battery life, will be able to charge other phones.

At a media event in Beijing, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Max 2. The phone retains the 6.44-inch Full HD display, and the highlight this time around is the 5300mAh battery, 450mAh more than what was included in its predecessor. Xiaomi is claiming a battery life of two days, touting over 18 hours of video playback, 21 hours of GPS navigation, and 57 hours of talktime. More importantly, the phone offers Quick Charge 3.0, allowing you to charge up to 68% in just an hour.

The phone features an all-metal unibody design, and is powered by a 2.0GHz Snapdragon 625 SoC. There's also a 12MP camera at the back (Sony IMX386 sensor), 5MP front shooter, microSD slot, rear fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster. On the software side of things, the Mi Max 2 runs the latest build of MIUI 8 atop Android 7.0 Nougat. With dimensions of 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6mm and an overall weight of 211g, the Mi Max 2 isn't that much larger or heavier than the first-gen model.

Like its predecessor, the Mi Max 2 is targeted at users that consume a lot of multimedia on their phones. The device offers stereo speakers that activate as soon as you switch to landscape mode, and the 6.44-inch display is ideal for watching videos and movies on the go. There's also a one-handed mode that shrinks the screen down to a more manageable size, and split screen functionality.

As it has a huge battery, the Mi Max 2 doubles up as an external power bank. You'll be able to charge other devices by hooking them up to its USB-C port. The variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage is set to go up for sale in China starting June 1 for ¥1,699 ($250), and a model with 128GB storage will be available for ¥1,999 ($290).

If a tweet sent out by Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain is any indication, the Mi Max 2 will
make its debut in India on July 23. Xiaomi is doing very well in India, with its latest phone — the Redmi 4 — clocking over 250,000 sales earlier this week. By introducing the Mi Max 2, Xiaomi will be looking to cater to mid-range buyers looking for a device that delivers a great multimedia experience.

There is really no limit as to what man can achieve with his imagination. For whatever can be imagined can be realized: it is just a matter of time. Truly the wonders of mobile computing continue to stretch beyond boundaries. Have you ever imagined controlling your mobile device with just your face or head? You may think it is fiction, but it is already possible; thanks to an app called Eva Facial Mouse developed by “Fundacion Vodafon Espana” (Spanish Vodafone Foundation).

About Eva Facial Mouse

Eva Facial Mouse is a free app available on the Playstore that allows a user control his device by tracking the movement of the head through the front camera. The control is possible by a pointer on the screen that follows the movement of the head/face giving you access to the interface without the use of your fingers.
Although this app would be beneficial to users with a disability on their hands or arms, it does come with a few limitations: for one you may not be able to use it with most games.
Control Your Android Device with Your Face [How-to]

Let’s dive in already to the main part.

How to use Eva Facial Mouse

Step 1: Install Eva Facial Mouse
Download and install the app from the Playstore and launch it.

Step 2: Grant the app permissions
Grant the necessary permissions that the app requires by tapping on OK. On the accessibility menu that comes up, toggle on the switch at the top right corner and tap OK to enable the app.
Accept the terms and conditions by clicking OK. For Android 6.0 or higher devices, ensure to tap “Allow” in the pop-up to grant additional permissions.

Step 3: Set the app as your default keyboard
On the setup wizard screen that follows, tap Next twice to get into the Keyboard menu. Tap the Settings button at the center of the screen.

You will then be taken to the system’s main Settings menu. Select the Language & Input settings and under the Keyboards and Input section, tap on “Choose keyboards” or “Choose input method” as the case maybe. Next, select the Eva Facial Mouse as a keyboard.

However, if you are using an Android N device, select “Virtual keyboards” and then tap the “Manage keyboards” button at the bottom. Enable the Eva keyboard and tap OK. Go back one level and tap “Current keyboard” and choose the app from the list.

If you device is running Android Kitkat, tap on Default keyboard option and select Eva Facial Mouse to set it as default. For phones that do not have the “Current keyboard” option, click on any text input field and from the notification bar select the app from the keyboard list. After successfully setting up the app.

Step 4: Calibrate the facial tracker
If you successfully set the app as the default keyboard, the app will then try to detect your face. Position your Android device so that it faces you while your head is in a natural position. A small viewfinder comes up at the top of the screen. Position your face to center it in the viewfinder.
When the app says “face detected”, tap the Next button.

Next, a mouse pointer will then appear. And whenever you move your head, the pointer follows the direction of your movement. You can set the speed of the pointer’s movement by adjusting the pointer speed.
Click the Next button and read the instructions on how to use the pointer. When you are done, you can now control your android device using your head.
Step 5: Using the app
Finally, to select any of the UI elements, just hover to any app and allow the pointer rest on the app for a few seconds. Two options pop up – click and long click. Move your head to select your option and watch the resulting wonder.

There is also a dock menu at the edge of the screen to give you quick access to some functions such as minimizing or going back. In case you want to scroll through a screen, the app presents to you icons above or beneath to help you do just that.

Keeping in touch with family and friends has become easier and faster thanks to our Android smartphones. However, not all people who can contact us through our mobile phones are people that we love and cherish; some are spammers, annoying strangers, telemarketers, and other unwanted callers. You don’t need to suffer these unwanted calls. Block them!
In this guide, learn how to block phone numbers on your Android smartphone.

Built-in call blocking features

Most Android phones have a native way to block specific numbers. There didn’t used to be a generalized way to do this, though, so manufacturers often had to build the feature into their own software skins.
This is why the procedure can be unique on your specific device, as it varies from phone to phone. Needless to say we can’t go into detail about the necessary steps for blocking calls on every single phone out there, but we can give you an idea and show you how it’s done with the most popular devices.

Some carriers make it easier!

Want to really get rid of those annoying callers? Doing it from your phone works, but what if you switch handsets often? Maybe you want this done in a more systemic way. Some carriers allow you to block specific numbers on a service level. And this does include the 4 major carriers in the USA (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint).
There are some limitations to these, though. For example, Verizon only allows up to 5 blocked numbers per line. AT&T also does it on a device-by-device basis. On the other hand you have T-Mobile, which only allows blocking with family plans. And then there’s Sprint, which seems to be more helpful about doing this.

Call blocking on Samsung phones

Most of you likely have Samsung phones. They are the biggest Android smartphone manufacturer, after all. Trying to get rid of those pesky callers? Let’s show you how.
  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Select which number you want to block and hit “More” (located on the top-right corner).
  3. Select “Add to Auto-Reject List”.
  4. To remove or make more edits, go to Settings > Call Settings > All Calls > Auto Reject.

Call blocking on LG phones

The process is very similar with LG phones, but there are slight differences. Here we go:
  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Tap the 3-dot icon (top-right corner).
  3. Select “Call Settings”.
  4. Select “Reject Calls”.
  5. Tap the ‘+’ button and add the numbers you want blocked.

Call blocking on HTC phones

  1. Open the Phone app.
  2. Press and hold the phone number.
  3. Select “Block Contact”.
  4. Select “OK”.
  5. You can remove them from the blocked list on the People app.

Third-party apps for blocking phone calls

If your Android phone doesn’t have an in-built call blocking feature or if it does but you find it lacking, you can choose one from the many third-party call blocking apps on the Google Play Store. Of particular note are the Mr. Number app, Call Blocker app, and Calls Blacklist app.

Mr. Number

The Mr. Number app is a free and ads-free Android app that allows you to block unwanted calls and texts on your mobile phone. This app protects your phone from spam, silence selected contacts, or even keep your phone inaccessible by the rest of the world.
Mr. Number also has a Remote Lookup feature that allows you to find information about an unknown caller in the U.S. The first 20 lookups are free and you will be charged about US$1.00 for the next 20 lookups. This app also has a Business Caller ID that provides information about callers using a business line.
Here’s a general idea of how to use Mr. Number: DOWNLOAD

When a contact listed on the Hang Up tab tries to call you, your phone will automatically Hang Up the call. Callers listed under Voicemail will have their calls redirected to the voicemail box. You can add numbers to the Hang Up and/or Voicemail tabs in various ways:
  1. Suspected spam
  2. All private/blocked numbers
  3. Choose from recent calls or texts
  4. Enter a number
  5. Choose from contacts
  6. All numbers not in contacts
  7. All numbers beginning with…
  8. All numbers in contacts
  9. All numbers
The Exceptions tab lists contacts that will not be blocked or redirected. So, if you want to keep in touch with your family and friends while keeping the strangers and spammers at bay, register your family and friends’ contact numbers under the Exceptions tab.
You can also block contacts right from the app’s main screen. Under the Recent tab, which shows the history of received calls and text, tap the Menu button beside each log entry and select Block Number. A popup will appear, asking you whether to block the contact or redirect all the contact’s calls to your voicemail. You can also mark it as a spam number and add a comment about the blocked contact number. A notification will appear every time the app intercepts a blocked contact. The history of blocked contacts will be displayed under the Blocked History tab on the app’s main screen.

Call Blocker
Another handy call blocker app that you’d want to try is the free and ad-supported Call Blocker app. If you subscribe to the paid and ad-free version, you can enjoy premium features, including the Private Space feature that securely stores private SMS messages and call logs.
Here’s a general idea of how to use Call Blocker:
  1. Download, install, and launch the Call Blocker app. Tap Agree to continue.
  2. On the app’s main menu, tap the Blocked Calls button.
  3. Tap the add button (represented by an icon of paper with check and X marks)
The Blacklist and Whitelist tabs will be displayed on the screen. Tap Add Number to add a contact. You can add a number via your contacts, call log, or SMS log, or you can type the number directly. Contacts listed on the Blacklist tab will be blocked (of course!) while contacts on the Whitelist tab will be exempted

Conclusion

In this day and age, home landlines are pretty much extinct, meaning that spammers, telemarketers, and other unwanted callers have a new target: your mobile phone. Thankfully, call blocking is possible on our Android phones or via third-party apps from the Google Play Store.
