MAC stands for Media Access Control. The MAC
address is also known as the physical address. It is
your computer's unique hardware number. When
you're connected to the Internet from your computer
(or the "host"), a correspondence table i.e. routing
table relates your IP address to your computer's
physical (MAC) address on the LAN. This is how the
router knows where to send IP packets destined for
your system. For knowing the MAC address of the
laptop, type the following command in command
prompt. Type ipconfig/all
then hit Enter. This window will now display the
configuration of all of your network adapters. If you
have multiple network adapters in your PC you'll see
multiple addresses, MAC Address will be listed under
the heading "Ethernet Adapter Wireless Network
Connection".

For Windows 7 users :
Click the Start icon
Click Control Panel
Select Network and Internet Click Network and
Sharing Center
Select Change Adapter Settings from the list on the
left hand side
You may have a separate icon for your Wireless
connection, Ethernet (Wired) and a Virtual WiFi
MiniPort. Each has its own MAC address.
Right click on the connection you are trying to find
the MAC address for and select Properties Hover
your mouse over the text box using-
Your MAC address will appear in the tooltip and is
made up of 12 characters e.g. 00:11:22:AA:66:DD

Incase you don't know, Apps that pops out ads too frequently tends to run very slow, most especially if it's a VPN app. It will reduce the normal speed of your browsing, because the ads is running inside the app which allows it to pop out based on the frequency set for it to pop out.

HOW TO REMOVE ADVERTS IN ANDROID APPS USING LUCKY PATCHER

We are going to be using an app called Lucky Patcher for this operation. It's not a new app. It has been available for years now. I'm sure you might have heard of it somewhere somehow.

The app works on both rooted and unrooted Android device. So, you don't have to panic if your device is not rooted. I will be using a VPN for this tutorial. I will show you how i disabled ads from apps that displays ads too frequently. To be precise, i will be using AnonyTun VPN for this operation. Kindly follow me along.

I found out that AnonyTun VPN displays ads too frequently and it's so annoying and slows down my browsing speed when connected with the vpn. So, i had no choice than to disable Ad activities on the app.

>> First of all, download and install Lucky Patcher apk on your Android if you don't have it.

>> Open the app

>> Locate the app you want to remove Ads from

>> Tap on the app

>> You will see a Drop-down, tap on Open Menu of Patches

>> Tap on Remove Google Ads

>> Tap on Disable Ad Activities

>> Now, you have to watch carefully in this aspect. You will see a list of all available Packages used by the app. (You should see com.blablabla. That's called package)

>> Now, look carefully, you will see one package that ends with ads.AdActivity (you can only find it once)
remove-adverts-from-app

>> Now, tap on it. Fonts will automatically turn to Red.

>> Congratulations, you have successfully disabled Ads Activities on that particular app. You can then Launch the app. Henceforth, you will never see ads pop ups from that app.
>> You can Enable ads activity again on that app, by just tapping on that package again - that ends with ads.AdActivity.

Those of you that have Nougat OS running on your infinix phones already, what has been your experience so far?

For most people, plugging in their Apple or Samsung phone when they go to bed at night seems like the natural thing to do.

Smartphone batteries always seem to drain quickly, and letting your gadget charge up while you sleep means you wake up to a full charge.
But frequent charging can take its toll on the lithium-ion batteries which invariably power up most of our smartphones.

However, this is not because they can be overcharged, according to Edo Campos – a spokesman for phone charger maker Anker.

Speaking to The New York Times, he said: “Smartphones are, in fact, smart. They know when to stop charging.”

Android phones and iPhones have chips which STOP them from absorbing excess electric current once they are fully charged.

So worry not, there should not be any damage from charging your phone overnight with an official charger.

However, the act of charging itself is bad for your phone’s battery.

Most phones are designed to accept electrical currents as fast as possible, which helps to reduce the amount of time needed to charge.

However, as the current flows rapidly from one side of the battery to the other it corrodes the battery.

This is fine if you plan on keeping your phone for a couple of years, but it eventually will shorten your battery’s lifespan.

Hatem Zeine is the founder, chief scientist and chief technical officer of the wireless charging company Ossia.

Speaking to the NYT, he said: “When you charge fast all the time, you limit the life span of the battery.”

Zeine advised that if you plan on keeping your smartphone for as long as possible, you should use a charger that is meant for a less powerful device.

However, he was not able to guarantee if that would work or not.

He said: “For example, if you used an iPhone charger on an iPad Pro, it’s going to charge very slowly.

“If the electronics are right, they can actually preserve the battery because you’re always charging it slowly.”

People who want to preserve their phones’ batteries should also make sure they don’t become overheated.

This is because high temperatures can further put pressure on lithium-ion batteries which leads them to deteriorate quicker.

Apple’s website warns users that temperatures above 35C can “permanently damage battery capacity.”

However, for most people who upgrade their smartphone regularly this won’t be an issue.

The social media network giant Facebook says its ranks of monthly active users have hit the two billion mark -or more than a quarter of the world’s population.

“As of this morning, the Facebook community is now officially 2 billion people!” co-founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a post on his Facebook page marking the milestone.

“We’re making progress connecting the world, and now let’s bring the world closer together,” he wrote. “It’s an honor to be on this journey with you.”

Naomi Gleit, a vice president at the internet giant, credited millions of small communities at Facebook for helping drive growth.

More than a billion people take part in “groups” at Facebook each month and more than 800 million people “like” something at the social network on an average day, she added.

Founded in 2004, Facebook hit the billion-user mark five years ago.

Meanwhile, the social network announced that it deleted about 66,000 posts a week in the last two months in an effort to crack down on what it deems to be hate speech.

The company said in a blog post that deleting posts can “feel like censorship”, but that it is working on explaining its process better and improving its enforcement of hate speech.

Facebook defines hate speech as attacks on people based on their race, sexual orientation and other “protected characteristics”.

As part of that effort, Facebook says it plans to hire an additional 3,000 people in the next year to review posts. That is on top of the 4,500 people it currently has reviewing posts.

The Computer Village which is largest ICT accessory market in Africa and a Perfect competition market, under the umbrella of Computer and Allied Products Dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN) has stepped up their game as they aim to prevent the further very rampant cases of phone theft which has unfortunately eroded the market.

I think they have actually tried with this as tracking stolen phones has become a thing of challenge most especially in Nigeria. It all seem like we lack the general technicality to do stuffs like this. Even though we do hope that is all in the past now, and we expect the government to take a cue from this move.
The village has launched a unified database to track stolen phones. The unified database could go a long way in curbing criminal activities, as long as traders are encouraged/enforced to sell, and customers demand to buy, only registered merchandise. This translates that the initiative can only work if it gains the total support of the general populace. We hope it does too.

The Computer and Allied Product Dealers Association of Nigeria (CAPDAN), a trade association of Ikeja Computer Village market traders, has done well to have collaborated with a software company to develop this web portal which enables the tracking of stolen phones. I surely see it as a giant step in the right direction.

I think it is high time we begin to regain our reputation both as a country and as individuals inside the country. There is a very high rate of theft in computer village, and also ones in which celebrities were caught and accused. So i think it is time to retrace steps and install measures that’ll help to curb this menace. And what gladens me is that this is exactly what the association have embarked on. What remains now is if the people would corporate and help this cause or not.

Infinix Note 4 comes with improved features in hardware, software, camera and better design. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and the OS is based on Infinix's own custom Chameleon XOS UI. It's powered by MediaTek Helio X10 which is a better processor than what was used in its predecessor.

The Infinix Note 4 specifications shows it is a 6.0 inch Phablet at 1080 × 1920 pixels resolution though many folks prefer 5.5 inch devices for easy handling and pocketing but I know of some guys that likes it bigger.

As far as photography is concerned, the Note 4 packs 13MegaPixel back Camera AutoFocus probably with a Dual LED Flash for bright Night shots, while in the front you also have 13MegaPixel AF camera with a soft flash which will also add more to your selfie support. Believe me, camera is one of the features that phone buyers now look out for. No one want to miss snapping those memorable moments anymore now that smartphones are gradually replacing the regular digital camera device.
In terms of memory capacity, both Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro will feature 3gb/4gb RAM and 32gb/64gb internal storage which is just enough for multitasking as well as offering you enough free space for storing your favorite files, music, video, data etc. Before I forget, you also have the option to even increase the available storage via an external SDcard. Isn't that fantastic? Well, am not done yet.

Meanwhile, one of the reasons why Note 4 is similar to Galaxy Note 5 is the addition of X-Pen which brings more swag to the Phablet. Additionally, the Infinix Note 4 is a dual SIM device with 4G LTE Network compatibility in both variants. It also has fingerprint scanner and uses USB Type-C port and fast charging technology with the mammoth capacity of the battery, you are assured to be fully charged within 1 Hour 30 Minutes.

Now regarding the topic of this article, What are Mods? Actually, mods are nothing else than the apps or the small amendment making software pieces that tend to increase the performance of Android device, looks, and the addition of new functions. Like the apps on the Google Play store, there are tons of mods available on the internet for the Android device. But truly not every available mod is good enough as it might be stated. 5 Reasons Why Your Smartphone Battery Is Draining Fast

Almost 60-70% of the people in the world are now using a smartphone. Everyone encounters a problem with battery reinforcement. A mobile operating system like Android consumes much battery compared to others.
On the average, Android battery lasts about 6-7 hours. Long lasting battery life was always an important factor for buyers to consider before purchasing any phone.
Well, smartphone battery life will degrade with the usage but if your phone is getting power hungry, then you need to figure out what’s wrong. Here we will discuss some possible reasons why your smartphone battery is draining quickly.

1.Bright Screen

This is the top most reason why smartphone’s battery nowadays doesn’t last long. If you set
your screen brightness too high, then you are actually killing your smartphone’s battery unknowingly.
Turn your screen brightness to the minimum or set it to automatic mode. This will probably help you save some precious battery power.

2.Wi-Fi

Wifi might the best way to reduce your mobile bill. However, it will increase your electricity bill significantly. If your phone is constantly searching for available WiFi network then it can burn through a lot of power. If you don’t need a WiFi network then simply turn it off.

3.Background Apps

Apps running in the background can drain your battery in no time. Especially, if you are having an Android smartphone, most of the apps in Android stays active in the background thereby consuming a lot of battery power. So, make sure to check the settings menu and disable all the running apps.

4.Battery Management Apps

You might have already installed a battery or power management app on your smartphone. There are many applications available in Google Play Store that claims to increase the battery life of Android. However, these apps will not do any good to your battery because it increases the load on the smartphone and forces the device to use more battery power.

5.Outdated Operating System

As we all know, every new OS released by smartphone manufacturers bring new fixes to our smartphone. Sometimes, updates bring bug fixes that can resolve the battery drain issue. For example, if you are running Android Kitkat, then there are high chances that your Android battery will drain much faster compared to Lollipop. Therefore, if you are running an older version of an Operating system, make sure to update it as soon as possible.

When I start writing about how Facebook is being very creative in the market, some would think it is an overhype. But then, when you look at the addition of features by a lot of other facebook products – Instagram and Whatsapp,  you’d confirm my claim.

Well, Whatsapp has introduced another feature and this one’s sure to garner a lot of interest by users. You remember when you wished you could send all kinds of files to friends on Whatsapp, well I think that time has come.
The new File sharing features recently upgraded will allow you to send any type of files to your WhatsApp contact. Any type of files you can think of at all and it currently enables users to share a maximum file size of 100MB (Android), 128MB (iOS) or 64MB (desktop).

It is currently been rolled out to some beta users… with time, it will get to everybody. The roll out of sharing of all file types is for iOS, Android and Windows Phone users! How the owners get to be so creative and identify the exact need of the users is alien to me.

But again, don’t you think Whatsapp, with over 1 billion users already has reached its maximum point? This could explain why more of their features are targeted towards keeping their already made customers, rather than making new ones.

A limiting factor that could be identified as why Whatsapp isn’t as popular as Facebook is because of the limited devices it supports and lack of website support. The Facebook app is supported on virtually all phones that have access to the internet, unlike Whatsapp. Still yet, the margin is close.

At this rate which Facebook’s product popularity are on an increase, it would only be right if they keep releasing features that would keep user’s interest. This they have been doing for a while and have mastered the art. They should also be on the lookout, so some new app does not just come out of the blues and win users over.

The most valuable information on your Android devices are your pictures, files or video. And we’ve all accidentally mistakenly hit the delete button without knowing what else to do. But don’t panic; you can recover everything you’ve accidentally deleted on your phone.

There are many tools out their but I’m going lay more emphasis on DiskDigger

DiskDigger can undelete and recover lost photos and images from your memory card or internal memory. No rooting necessary!  Whether you accidentally deleted a photo, or even reformatted your memory card, DiskDigger's powerful data recovery features can find your lost pictures and let you restore them.

The free version of DiskDigger can recover photos and videos only (recovering videos requires your device to be rooted).
The Pro version can recover other types of files besides photos and videos, and also allows uploading recovered files over FTP (again, recovering any types of files besides photos requires your device to be rooted).

Where Can I download it?
Download it here

Steps to Recover Your Files

>>Launch the app, it will display two options: "Basic scan" and "Full scan." The "full" scan functionality is available only on rooted devices, whereas the "basic" functionality is available regardless of whether your device is rooted.
>> If your device is not rooted, tap the "Start basic photo scan" button to continue, and continue to the "Scanning for files" section below.

>> When you use the app on a rooted device, you may see a Superuser request window. Make sure to press "Allow" in order to grant DiskDigger root access.

>> select the types of files that you'd like to recover. For better performance, please select only the file types that you actually need.

>>Wait while DiskDigger recover your files

>>You can now save the recovered files to your device, or an app or via FTP.

With DiskDigger, you have nothing to worry about loosing any files or photos on your Android because it will recover all.
